Note: Moms and Dads, We Are Being Warned

IMG_1750.jpg

I love shopping at Costco, there are so many great products that I purchase there for my family.  I have to share that I was so disappointed when visiting the store last week and looking at a backpack I needed.  This was not the first time I was surprised at the label attached to a product they were selling.  Some time ago, I was going to purchase a swimming toy for my boys and again I see the California warning label.  I am seeing this label way too much lately and that is why I am sharing it with you.

The following label is provided for California customers and product handlers in accordance with California Law:  WARNING:  Cancer and Reproductive Harm www.P65Warnings.ca.gov

I think to myself, why is this being sold to us if it causes any type of harm? This product is backpack, a product that a Mom, Dad or innocent child would use.  It is time to change this, we all have a voice, I am so thankful that California passed this law and as they say, we have a right to know what we are consuming especially when the supplier/product is using harmful chemicals.

I question, what is the rest of the US doing?  I know every state has its own environmental laws but we cannot be mass producing so many products that cause harm to our world, we spend our money on these items for our children, families and in addition they are openly sharing that they harmful to our health, so note you are warned.

Its time to take action and at a very minimum become educated about what you are exposing your children to when you purchase something for them or yourself.  California State Law has voiced the importance to listing harmful chemicals in products so that we know what we are consuming.  It is not okay that these products are even in our markets and stores.

I welcome you to learn more and get involved, I linked the website for Proposition 65.  I want our children to have a healthy environment and as Albert Einstein said, “If you want different results DO NOT DO the same things.”  Its time to take action and speak up.  I reached out to Costco but the person I spoke to said they could not find the item, I easily found it online and was about to send it to them…Then we happen to get disconnected.  We all have a voice, Iets use it for the LOVE of our children.

Please share on your page and spread the word, don’t waste your money on products that are harmful to you and your children.
